Volunteer with Us

Camp Maskepetoon wouldn’t be what it is without our volunteer program, which provides high school students with training and ongoing mentorship to gain work experience and promote personal growth throughout the summer!

Our volunteers start the summer off with Lead Week, a special camp week just for them that blends a classic camp experience with special training sessions designed to prepare them for the summer ahead. Depending on their age, summer schedule, and interest to be involved, they will then return to camp throughout the summer as volunteers, working with our staff to develop their leadership abilities and critical thinking as they help with the week’s program in junior cabin leader and kitchen helper roles.

For many of our volunteers this is a great opportunity to gain skills for future employment, gain valuable experience for resumes and scholarship applications, and to make a real difference for our campers. It can also lead to future employment at this camp or at other places geared at working with children and teens.
